Step One

Take you terra cotta clay pot and wash it off. Wait for it to dry.

When dry proceed to painting the outside of the pot whatever color you want your angel to be. I chose white. Allow time to dry between each coat. Seel the inside of the post with water based poly eurathane.

Paint the doll head to make it whatever ethnicity you like. Remember to allow each coat to dry before appying an additional coat.

Optional: Take your jingle bell and run a string through the hooke and tie each end at the top. Feed it through the hole in bottom of your clay pot and fasten it with a glue gun.

Step Two

Using a hot glue gun or craft glue take your lace and run it along the rim of the pot bottom.

Once applied add more glue to the bottom to secure the head on top of the pot bottom. Allow time for the glue to dry.

Believe it or Not

More Americans believe in Angels (55%) than in Global Warming.

Step Three

Take your craft boa and run it from side to side on top of the dolls head. Add another layer of boa if you desire the angel's hair to be thicker. I like a full head of hair so I used about three lengths.

Now take your chenile stem cut it to equal parts. Glue the stems on both sides of the pots to make arms. Make sure the arms are glued beneath the lace.

Paint your wooden star piece or cut your star foam shape. When dry attach the other end of each stem behind the star shape. It should look as if your angel is holding a star.

Step Four

Take your foam piece and cut out a pair of wings.

This is easier if you cut out your wings on paper first to ensure the size is right. Trace the paper cutout on to the foam.

Take your rhinestones and put three on each side near the middle of each wing. Attach the wings to the back of the pot.

Remember

Put a little piece of yourself in your clay pot craft and you cannot help but have fun creating your angel!

Step Five

You are ready for the finishing touches. Grab your permanent marker and draw on the face. You can draw a simple face or make the face realistic. It is up to you. Be creative.

You can also add words along the lip of the pot like Merry Christmas, peace joy using foam letters, stickers or paint.

Now you have completed your angel. Be sure to enjoy your finished project.
