Cosplay Suicide Squad Harley Quinn Costume to Make

2 Ways to Make Your Own Daddy's Lil Monster Shirt

If you want to make your own Daddy's Little Monster shirt you can make it utilizing fabric markers and duct tape.

You will need to start with a white three quarter length white tee to begin. Next you will need to decide if you want to use duct tape or fabric markers to make your shirt designs.

If you use duct tape you will need three colors, red, blue and black. The red will be needed across the neck line and to make a line pattern around the sleeves. The blue will be needed around only one side of the sleeve as the design becomes blue and white instead of the red and white. The dark tape is needed to cut out the letters for Daddy's Lil Monster. This is easier if you use a cutting mat and a craft knife.

Fabric Markers are easier to work with and you can just color the design and letters. You will need black, red and blue makers to make the shirt. You could even draw the stiches on.

If you prefer you could actually stitch the shirt in an x pattern. Make sure to put some holes in the shirt for character authenticity.

The Story of Harley Quinn

The character of Harley Quinn was first introduced in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series and then later incorporated into the DC Batman comic books.

Harley Quinn worked at the Asylum when she fell in love with the Joker. She aided in his escape of the institution a time or two, before going insane (after the Joker was injured by Batman). Poison Ivy gave her an immunity to toxins.

Harley Quinn wears a black and red jester costume. For those wanting a more traditional costume you will need to sport a jester hat with a black and red patch jumpsuit. The costume will also feature diamond pattern, a prominent white collar, along with a black eye mask. The costume will have long sleeves and not much skin will be visible.

For those who prefer more sexy Harley Quinn costume, there is always the costume design based on Harley Quinn in Batman: Arkam City.

Arkham City Harley Quinn Costume

The Arkham City version of Harley Quinn depicts the super villain more scantily clad. The look is more edgy. The colors are more muted and give Harley Quinn a more indestructible kind of quality to her persona.

Two main differences in this version of the jester is that the costume is less comical that the comic book version. There seems to be less levity in the costume look as Quinn becomes the seductress.

For this look you will not need a head piece. In fact, you will need to wear pigtails and add some highlights or red and black to your mane. You will need tighter fitting costume pieces and be comfortable showing off more skin.

The Hair in Arkham City

If your planning on wearing a more traditional DC Comic Harley Quinn look you can skip the wig because your locks will be hidden behind you jester hat; however if you want to take on a more video game inspired Harley Quinn costume a blonde pig tailed costume wig might be the thing you need to finish off your Harley Quinn costume ensemble.

To get a more authentic look you may have to add in some red and black color into your pig tails. This can be accomplished with Sharpies or spray paint. Dye will not adhere to synthetic wigs.
